1.GLI ESORDI
Il mantello di Batman spunta per la prima volta in Italia sul numero 19 della prima serie della collana “Collezione Uomo Mascherato”, stampata fra la fine del 1945 e l’inizio del 1946 dalla Casa Editrice Milano (che in seguito diverrà Edizioni Mondiali); il nome del Cavaliere della notte viene trasformato in Ala d’Acciaio.
In un secondo tempo Batman si presenta, in compagnia di Robin, tra le pagine della seconda serie della collana “Collezione Uomo Mascherato” (che dal numero 67 cambia il proprio titolo in “Collezione Uomo d’Acciaio”), presentata tra il 28 marzo 1946 e il 15 aprile 1948, e all’interno del giornale “Urrà!”; i nomi dei personaggi vengono modificati rispettivamente in Fantasma e Aquilotto.
Le storie proposte tra le pagine della prima serie della collana “Collezione Uomo Mascherato” sono tratte dai comic book, mentre quelle presentate all’interno della seconda serie e di “Urrà!” sono invece tratte dalle daily strips inizialmente pubblicate sui quotidiani americani.
